Cultivate Equanimity & Flourish in Uncertain Times

“Acknowledging that all conditions are bound to change, we can approach each moment with a bit more clarity and confidence, relaxing into it rather than resisting it or being overwhelmed by it”
Mingyur Rinpoche

In these times of heightened uncertainty, not knowing what will happen next can fill us with stress and anxiety. The practices of patience and equanimity help us to cultivate stability in the middle of unpredictable circumstances, enabling us to be open, flexible, and resilient. This week we will look at how meditation can help us to stay present in the midst of uncertainty, ready to respond to whatever comes.

We are changing the streaming schedule in June. Mingyur Rinpoche will give a streamed teaching every other Sunday (June 14 and June 28), alternating with Sunday livestreams by Tergar Instructors (June 7 and June 21 ). These teachings will all stream at 11 AM EDT, 17:00 CEST.

Mingyur Rinpoche Equanimity in Uncertain TimesAlthough some things have begun to reopen, we still do not know how the situation will go or what lies ahead. This experience of prolonged uncertainty can be deeply unsettling, filling us with anxiety and stress. By cultivating patience and equanimity we can learn how to accept our uncertainty and even flourish within it. As we learn to trust in our mind’s natural awareness, we find that we can live with confidence and stability in the midst of unpredictability and change.

Join us for a YouTube Premiere teaching with Mingyur Rinpoche on Sunday, May 31 at 11:00 AM EDT (17:00 CEST).

Translation will be available in multiple languages. Visit streaming.tergar.org for the details.

Tim Olmsted - Flourishing within UncertaintyHow can we find a sense of stability in such uncertain times? Through the practice of patience, we learn to accommodate the uncomfortable sensations and feelings that accompany uncertainty. We develop the capacity to be present with our discomfort and to relate to these difficult feelings with curiosity and kindness. This courageous sense of openness keeps us steady and balanced – right in the middle of uncertainty and the many difficulties that come up in our lives.

Join us for a live-streamed teaching with Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted on Sunday, June 7 at 11:00 AM EDT (17:00 CEST).
