8-hours of free compassion teachings, practices and methods to help keep our hearts open in difficult moments

Good afternoon,

You may have noticed more emails than usual coming from us lately. That's because many of you have expressed a need for extra resources for spiritual nourishment and grounding during this difficult time.

As we all continue to adapt to a new way of learning and living, the team at LSRF is also reimagining the ways we can show up for our community in this moment of uncertainty.

Since we cannot gather in person for the time being, we are experimenting with new ways to offer the same kinds of teachings, practices, and grounding methods that we would usually offer at our retreats on Maui or in Ojai -- virtually from the safety of our homes.

For the last few months, we've been compiling a collection of retreat teachings from our Ojai gatherings that represents a heart space that we are all being called to occupy right now - one of deeper compassion so that our actions can facilitate more freedom, forgiveness and love for ourselves and those around us.

This virtual bundle of teachings is called "Compassion and Practice in Action: Building the Groundwork for a Life of Service, Freedom, and Love."

Led by an incredible lineup of wisdom luminaries, meditation teachers, and sacred musicians, combined with archival teachings from Ram Dass, you’ll begin to find a deeper balance and resonance between your thinking mind and your heart.

From meditation and mantra practice to Kirtan (chant practice) and Pranayama (breathwork), you’ll have the opportunity to try new methods for re-centering your heart in fragmented moments.

Here is the full list of sessions available in Compassion and Practice in Action:
  1. Opening Kirtan Practice - Featuring Trevor Hall (Rampriya Das)
  2. Moving from Head to Heart with Mantra Practice - Featuring Rameshwar Das
  3. What is Compassion? - Featuring Dale Borglum (Ram Dev) & Archival Ram Dass Footage
  4. Us vs. Them: Building Groundwork for Compassionate Relationships - Featuring Dale Borglum (Ram Dev) & Archival Ram Dass Footage
  5. Creating the Groundwork for Compassion in Action - Featuring Dale Borglum (Ram Dev) and Ram Dass
  6. Chant and the Nature of the Goddess - Featuring Raghu Markus and Trevor Hall (Rampriya Das)
  7. Cessation of the Turnings of the Mind - Featuring Raghu Markus, Mirabai Starr, and Saraswati Anand
  8. Ramayana and the Hanuman Chalisa Workshop - Featuring Raghu Markus, Duncan Trussell, and Benjy Wertheimer
  9. Breath and Mantra Workshop - Featuring Nina Rao and Saraswati Anand

We decided to offer all 8-hours of the audio and video teachings on these topics for free, until June 1st.

You can stream the video or audio version of each session, or if you want to own a copy of the digital download, you can purchase yours directly from our Ram Dass webstore.

Any money that comes from the streaming donations and the digital downloads gets recycled back into creating more free offerings like this one, for all who want to participate in them.

Click here to stream or download the Compassion and Practice virtual retreat.

Whether you are alone or with family, working on the front lines or helping to keep our vulnerable population safe by staying home, I hope you find this wisdom useful in the months ahead.
