Awakening Wisdom through Analysis

Saturday, December 19 – 10 a.m. EST (North America), 4 p.m. CET (Europe)

Join us for this special webinar with Tergar Senior Lama Khenpo Kunga.
As awareness meditation calms our minds, we may notice that our perception of ourselves and the world is colored by all kinds of limiting ideas and beliefs. In the practice of insight meditation we use awareness to analyze the nature of these mental constructions and patterns and pry them apart. In this way we learn to see reality more clearly, and gain freedom from the influence of these concepts on our lives. In this workshop, Khenpo Kunga will explore how careful observation of ourselves and our world can lead to liberative insight.

Translation will be offered in French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Khenpo Kunga is a Senior Tergar Lama and a close student of Mingyur Rinpoche. He became a monk at a young age and began his education at Tergar monastery in Tibet. At fifteen, he entered an extended meditation retreat and spent three years mastering the profound contemplative practices of the Kagyü lineage. Following this retreat, he entered the renowned Dzongsar monastic college in Northwest India, where he received his Khenpo degree (roughly equivalent to a PhD). In recent years, Khenpo Kunga has taught in Asia, Europe, and the United States as one of the main teachers for the worldwide network of Tergar monasteries, meditation centers, and meditation groups.
