Join a live Dharma talk, Meditation and Live Q&A with Buddhist Teacher Thanissara.

What is it to hold faith to the heart in a world driven to the brink by greed, hatred, and delusion?

The Buddha stated, “Hatred is not overcome by hate, but only through love; this is the eternal law.” When the human heart, trained in compassion, is also devoted to divine love, as embodied by Neem Karoli Baba, the mysterious power of reality produces miracles. This Reality, said Sri Nisagardatta, “comes in the form of the unexpected.”

In processing the lessons of 2020, can we stay present to the unexpected?

Thanissara is a Buddhist practitioner for over 40 years, spending 12 years as a nun in the Thai Forest School of Ajahn Chah. She is co-founder, with her husband Kittisaro, of Dharmagiri Sacred Mountain Retreat in South Africa, and Sacred Mountain Sangha in California. Thanissara is a teacher, author and poet; her most recent book is ‘Time To Stand Up’. Ram Dass, and the grace of Neem Karoli Baba continue to be a guiding influence in Thanissara’s Dharma journey.
