Hello susanto,
“In the Nectar of the Path practice, we bring to bear all aspects of our body, speech, and mind,” Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted said.
“We use our imagination. We use our voice to recite the liturgy as well
as mantras. And we use our mind to contemplate and understand the
meaning of the practice. Ultimately, the practice leads us back to our
own wisdom nature.”
This November, Vajrayana Online subscribers will have the opportunity to
unpack this beautiful practice by Mingyur Rinpoche in the Nectar of the
Path four-month course.
In the course's first module, we will explore our understanding of the four thoughts that turn the mind towards the dharma: precious human life, impermanence, karma, and the suffering of samsara.
Module two explores the meaning of refuge and
why it is that we take refuge. From there, we will explore the
different forms of refuge, the practice of refuge, and how to use
imagination to create a deep sense of connection with the enlightened
qualities that are present within and around us.
In module three, we will focus on motivation and explore the topic of bodhichitta, including aspiration bodhichitta and application bodhichitta.
We will then look into the topics of meditation and wisdom, the final
two of the six paramitas, and see how these are essential to our path of
awakening.
In the final module, we will focus on the essence of Vajrayana practice—guru yoga.
We will look into the importance of faith and devotion and, from there,
move on to take a closer look at how to practice guru yoga in formal
meditation.
We've already started studying and practicing and we look forward to seeing you there.
